As some of the other reviews mentioned, the UI is definitely a little clunky especially on big iPad screens—especially the two modal screens you have to go through to choose a specific brush or selection type. Would love to have a tool sidebar kind of like the desktop Pixelmator app! A nice little bonus would be to have enhanced pointer shapes with brushes, erasers, etc. What if we had bigger pointers for larger brush sizes? Maybe a crosshair for more precise sizes?
How about a unique pointer shape for the pixel brush tool, which also has pointer snapping to each pixel for even more precision? So many possibilities to make this a really unique experience for the iPad. It would also be nice to have support for multiple windows to make working with multiple docs at the same time easier.

Use Pixelmator to paint the whole world in your hand. Press the T key on your keyboard. Select the layer or layers you would like to edit. Select the text you want to modify, then make your formatting changes. In the Tool Options pane, click the Text Styles pop-up menu at the top, then click Add to add a new style preset based on the currently selected text.
Format the text using the settings in the Show or Hide Tool Options from the View menu at the top of your screen. Using the same Brush Tool settings, paint on the layer, this time particularly over the edges of the text, in order to make edges less visible. Click to add another new layer. Repeat the previous step to highlight any particular areas use the example in the image below as a reference.
To soften the edges of the clouds and make them more realistic, apply the Gaussian effect from the Effects Browser. If you already have Auto Select turned off, leave it off. With this option turned off, clicking the canvas will not select layers — layers will need to be selected in the Layers sidebar.
So, with Auto Select turned off, click to select the Tradewind layer in the Layers sidebar. Then, drag the layer on the canvas diagonally while pressing and holding the Shift key. Repeat this process two more times. Feel free to experiment with your own colors, too!
After finishing this, if you want to be able to automatically select layers again, make sure to turn Auto Select back on.
