So I do not have a choice. They also have had this exact same problem, but did not get it resolved. When looking in the software after it installs it does indeed say it is retail Office , 32 bit.
I just never see any page on the Microsoft site that gives me the 64 bit option. If you go to the bottom of the page at the link click on 'Contact us'. Then choose 'chat online with a Microsoft Answer Tech' don't choose the telephone option, because the Tech may need to access your computer.
